TOP 10 Reasons I’m Quitting LOST (Until Next Season)

I’m a big fan of Lost but if there is one thing I say after the finale every single year it’s that I am going to quit watching. But then, of course, I go right back into it and the cycle of J.J. Abrams pissing me off starts all over again. While this season seemed to wrap up a lot of loose ends, they haven’t even tackled some of the oldest and most bizarre. That is my biggest complaint and also the biggest reason I return every time.
10. Four-toed Statue
On the shore of the island, some of the survivors saw a stone, four-toed foot that stood about 40 feet high. Sayid mentioned that he “don’t know what he finds more disquieting, the fact that the rest of the statue is missing or that it only has four toes”.
9. Adam & Eve
Skeletons found by Jack in the cave. They had a bag containing a black stone and a white stone. Nothing was ever mentioned about it again.
8. Why doesn’t Richard age?
In any scene from present day all the way back to the 50’s he has never looked different.
7. Walt’s Super Powers
So far we’ve seen Walt control the weather, set fire with is mind, appear to people in visions and make birds commit suicide, among other things. Where’s his cape?
6. Hurley Bird
A giant green bird that swoops over the survivors and says “Hurley”. Mmmkay…
5. Polar Bears
Polar bears have been seen, one way or another, all over Lost. From actual polar bears attacking survivors, a picture of a polar bear in a comic book, a stuffed toy polar bear given as a gift, a polar bear skeleton found in Tunisia with a Dharma collar and even a painting of a polar bear in Widmore’s office. Someone really has a thing for polar bears. At least it wasn’t unicorns.
4. 4, 8, 15, 16, 23, 42
A theorists dream. It doesn’t matter if the numbers actually mean anything because if you try hard enough you will be able to connect them to any and everything in the show.
3. Why hasn’t Hurley lost weight
I know this is a low blow and it probably has something to do with the actor compared to the story but unless he found An unlimited, secret stash of Dharma Twinkies, Hugo should at least be losing some weight.
2. Smoke Monster
A smoke monster. Can there ever really be a “good” explanation for this?
1. Jacob
Who the F*** is Jacob?

that should answer a lot of your questions
There are still 2 more years. Everything can’t be answered yet. Many questions were answered this year though.
Hurley spent 108 days on the island, three months more or less. During that time, had access to all that food from the hatch, as well as the Dharma Initiative food drop, not to mention any animals caught on the island, and any food in the Others village.
Ok just to help ease your mind , a few of those things were purposely put in to help the viewer connect the dots in upcoming series.
for example the four-toed statue we saw it was destroyed.
However in the series after the next one , we will see some go back to the island but in the wrong time and will see the statue complete and people possibly living there/ building it / or even seeing the destruction of it.
Then people will immeadiately know OOOOHHHHHH they must have gone back in time because before it was destroyed ooooooh shit!!
essentially every answer to every mystery is going to come down to theoretic something or other , so you either have to say ” bah if it can’t be proven real then il stop watching” or you can be mature and realise its just a tv programme that uses very wild & speculative science theories and enjoy the storytelling of the characters
the polar bears were also answered,
in the second season, the island used to hold a zoo where they experimented
see: sawyer in the polar bear cages w/ kate in the other one
i’m sure next season we will find out a lot more about the dharma initiative and all the crazy stuff on the island as it will probably focus more on the people on the island after the 6 got back (as this season focused on the 6 getting back) and then the last season will tie everything in with everyone going back and having some sort of huge crazy tie in where evrything makes sense
Have you even been watching lost? Quite a number of things have been explained, partially explained, or pretty much figured out and theorized . First things first, we all know the island can teleport, aka “time travel”, so if the island can time travel, why not individual people? Perhaps when the island time travels, Richard leaves the island and goes about his business; hence his reputation to never age. He does age, in real time. He is just traveling in time, weather with or without the island, we figured that out already.
The polars bears were partially explained already. They lived in the zoo/experiment station. Why? Who knows, but thats where they came from.
Hurley hasn’t lost weight because there is a constant supply of food on the island left over from the dharma initiative.
I think Jacob’s soul is the smoke monster. Confused? See my theory on who Jacob is.
I think Jacob is a bodiless entity, he can take many forms but none are permanent. Hr is looking for a body to house himself, a young body. This is why the others were trying to desperately to have children on the island, Jacob needed a body. This is why they stole children and even walt. But then Aaron came around and Jacob found the perfect host, they kidnapped Claire and did what they did to her and poof, Aaron is Jacob. Why was Claire so happy to be in the shack with Jacob? She found her son! Why was Jack’s father (Aaron’s grandfather) allowed to speak on Jacob’s behalf? They are related! Aaron is Jacob! I’m not sure if I think Aaron goes back to the island and becomes Jacob and travels back in time to when the castaways were on the island (do you get it?) but I’m pretty set on Jacob and Aaron being the same person. Oh and remeber after the first time Locke met Jacob? What did he do when he got back to the beach? He made a crib for Aaron.
Hey nerds take it easy. I agree w/ the list.
The numbers are constants in the Valenzetti Equation, an equation made by a scientist used to calculate the exact time the world will end due to a global conflict (i.e. nuclear or biological warfare apocalypse). The Dharma Initiative was created in order to alter these constants. This was explained in the Lost Experience.
The Time Loop Theory is completely wrong, btw.
