Tired of the same, old uneventful dinners at the usual fast food spot? Check out these unique takes on the restaurants you thought you knew. These are the Top 10 best fast food stops.

10. Wendy’s

Location: Northpole, Alaska

Wendys

Home to Santa Claus, this Wendy’s is in a perpetual state of Christmas year round. Decorated with twinkling lights and animated dolls and animals, you are free to tell Santa what you want for X-mas but I’m pretty sure you’ll only end up getting a couple extra ketchup packets.

9. Burger King

Location: Buenos Aires, Argentina

Burger King

This 4,000-square-foot Burger King is the former home of one of Argentina’s wealthiest families and includes one one-of-a-kind artwork and impressive neogothic architecture. The only downside is that you’ll probably have to take out a loan for a Whopper.

8. Arby’s

Location: Hickory, North Carolina

Arbys Bikers

Thursday night is the place to be if you’re into leather and chrome. No, I’m not talking about some weird S&M roast beef fetish, I’m talking about the 1,000 bikers who gather at this Arby’s every week for dinner. Called “The Rally in the Valley”, bikers get their motors running for Market Fresh Turkey Sandwiches and an order of curly fries.

7. McDonald’s

Location: Pitea, Sweden

McDonalds

With negative sixty degree temperatures it’s always nice to get a warm meal in your belly, but even with the “McWindows” that the owner installed for snowmobiles you’ll have to eat fast. Hopefully your dog sled team enjoys McNuggets.

6. KFC

Location: Corbin, Kentucky

KFC

The official headquarters of KFC is also a museum to all things Colonel and chicken related, complete with Colonel Sanders look-alikes and the world’s biggest chicken skillet. Don’t forget about the festival the restaurant puts on that includes a chicken-eating contest. I bet they run out of legs there too.

5. Sonic

Location: Abilene, Texas

Sonic

Like some Sonic’s around the states, this one has it’s servers coasting to and from your cars on rollerskates and looking the part in their 50’s outfits. But this particular Sonic also has batting cages, volleyball sand courts, and kiddie playlands so you can work off the foot-long chili-cheese Coney dogs and cheddar-tots that you just shoveled down your throat-hole.

4. Hooters

Location: In the sky

Hooters

Hooters Air was, as of January 5th, 2006 a fantastic idea that never “took off”. The standard Hooter girl as flight attendents, wings and beer, how could it fail? But it did. And the only reason I am including this is so everyone knows what they are missing and will sign my petition…whenever I get around to making one.

3. Pizza Hut

Location: Hong Kong, China

Pizza Hut

It might have the name Pizza Hut, but it more resembles a Pizza Palace. This Pizza Hut also offers fancier appetizers in the form of calamari and fine soups. The salad bar is a bit different here though as you are only allowed one trip. But it is encouraged to build your salad plate as high as you like. And what is the average price of a meal in this super, ritzy version of our American “pie shop”? About 60% less than what we pay here.

2. Taco Bell

Location: Pacifica, California

Taco Bell

Disguised as a mild-mannered surf shack on the shore, this Taco Bell lets you use the “walk-through” window so you never have to drop your surfboard so you can enjoy your Nacho Bel Grandes on the beach. A word of warning though ladies, be careful of getting sand in your tacos.

1. Subway

Location: Washington, D.C.

Subway

Located inside the Pentagon, you will need security clearance to order your sweet onion chicken teriyaki sub. The shop itself is protected by the armed forces and the sandwiches are most likely wrapped in top-secret military documents. But don’t try and be funny by ordering a “Sandwich of Mass Destruction” because the person making your BMT might also have the training to kill you with his thumb.

I think the subway in the pentagon is a pure fiction. Why would they trust subway instead of McDonald’s ?

Would you really want to trust a guy who wears makeup and floppy feet in the pentagon?

  9. Gruntwilligar June 16th, 2008 at 3:44 am

I love H00ters! Too bad all the waitresses/stewardesses couldn’t dress like a H00ters woman. Do you think a Penguin dressed Hooters style would be nice?

Subway in the Pentagon is absolutely true and yes you do have to have Security clearance to work and eat there.

  12. Natalie August 13th, 2008 at 11:34 am

I’ve eaten at the Subway in the Pentagon. They actually have a small food court, including a Pizza Hut. They have a gift shop, too. You have to know someone on the inside and go through security to get in. :)
